HAINSEBURG DEPOT
Hainesburg Junction, looking east on the Lehigh and New England Railroad to it's junction with the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railroad, now Paulins Kill Valley Trail at Hainesburg. The post for the switch still stands in the woods today, and was used as a reference point for the recent photo. The LNE was abandoned October 31st, 1961, after which the NYS&W filed for abandonment the next year. LNE was the second major railroad (after O&W) to abandon all at once.
